There are a wide range of software options available to manage digital signage content. Often referred to as Content Management Systems (CMS), the majority are custom designed for their intended use. Within each use category, there are multiple choices and levels of sophistication.

For LCD’s, software is downloaded onto a media player that is dedicated to that digital display. There
are a wide range of media player types and formats available. From low cost Android sticks to more
sophisticated windows based applications offering interactive and touch capabilities. More complex
software applications require a more robust media player.

LED’s require an additional device, an LED controller to manage the configuration of the modules. These controllers can also be used to manage content and will work seamlessly with the media player.
